Nebraska Warehouse Company operates Cannonball Express Transportation Co., LLC. We can handle any and all shipping and receiving of your products to and from any of our locations to any point throughout the country. Just like warehousing, in the end we have only one product to sell-service- and we aim to be the very best in providing our product.

Service Area

Cannonball can handle all LTL and truckload shipments for the Omaha and Lincoln commercial zone. We can handle truckload traffic throughout the region.

Equipment

Cannonball operates a fleet of 80,000# GVWT tractors, plus single axle and straight trucks to handle any type of move you may require. We have a large fleet of 48'x 102" vans, reefers, and 45' flatbeds. All power equipment is leased from a national equipment company, which helps maintain all units in top-notch condition, plus we have the ability to quickly add equipment for short term needs and surges.

The city fleet consists of 15 tractors, eight with company drivers and seven with a single fleet owner operator. This combination affords us the greatest deal of flexibility in staffing and the ability to add additional manpower for peak periods. For the same reason all company drivers operate late model Freightliners from Penske Truck Leasing, which keeps down time to an absolute minimum, and it also gives us the ability to add equipment on short notice.

Special Services

Delivery
Cannonball serves the Omaha, Lincoln and Council Bluffs metropolitan areas with both truckload and LTL capabilities, with both 48-foot vans and reefers. We also have pup trailers available with lift gates for those special delivery needs. We have flatbed trailers and forklifts available for unique delivery requirements. We have full cross dock, transload, warehouse and distribution capabilities at any of our three Omaha locations.

Intermodal
Cannonball provides a wide array of intermodal delivery services from all railroads serving the Omaha market, including BNSF, UP, CC&P and the Iowa Interstate. We can provide pick up and delivery of boxes to all container pools in the Omaha area. We have 20 and 40-foot chassis available for COFC moves, and can also handle domestic containers and boxes. A complete list a rates is available, with service to Iowa, Kansas, South Dakota, Missouri and Nebraska. We also are party to the UITA (Uniform Intermodal Transportation Association). We have several large yards available for trailer storage. Cannonball is a Customs bonded carrier, affiliated with Nebraska Warehouse, which is a Customs bonded warehouse and container freight station offering Customs inspections and clearance.

Refrigerated Services
Cannonball also operates a fleet of refrigerated equipment, which handles LTL products to all points south and east of Nebraska. We make weekly scheduled deliveries of time sensitive perishables throughout the service area. Brokerage
Cannonball is a licensed transportation broker that can handle all freight management to any point throughout the country.

Billing
All computerized billing documentation and tracing is complete, prompt and accurate. Charges may be combined with warehouse billings for your convenience. Charges may be set on an hourly basis, per hundredweight, flat charges or flat rates.

Local rates can be established on flat rate, per CWT. or hourly basis. LTL rates to Lincoln are based on a tariff utilizing the standard rate classes. Intermodal rates to most points are determined by round trip mileage, based on practical miles.
